Silk makes everything better. I have been adding silk top and mohair top to my batts and they spin like a dream. Its all blended with merino wool, so that is great to start with, but the mohair and silk (and some bamboo top, too) all have such long staple lengths that the yarn wants to be thin and shiny and easy and delicious!
